While the ball is rolling, can the Website Development Team please add a feature to mark threads as read/visited when they are opened? A simple session-based solution that only keeps track of users' last-visit time will do.

The lack of this is honestly my biggest turn-off from using the official forums. This bugbear is made worse due to the availability of the thread bumping feature, as threads are not necessarily sorted in chronological order from the last posted date.

Awesome update!

And there already appears to be a higher forum user count than normal. I sincerely hope that this will largely increase forum activity going into the future, and expect the activity to continue to grow enormously in the coming days as more players learn about this new forum capability!
