The current homepage quick poll has been active for several months now.

I highly doubt that it's providing Jagex with any useful information at this point, especially since it doesn't list the latest dig site anyway.

Either remove this feature from the front page and use the real estate for something more useful, or update the polls more than once every six months.

Support. The poll has only changed twice last year (one of those because I queried Mod Shauny about it) and once this year (again a player pointed it out to Mod Poerkie).

Unfortunately, I haven't been a fan of the Quick Poll since it became a Quick Poll. As someone who used to log in and participate in the many polls that used to be conducted on the website, I've been disappointed in the poll system since that changed. For anyone who doesn't know about/remember, those polls weren't always serious polls either - some of them were just for fun. They were changed often and could only be voted once per account.

I'm thinking Jagex changed to Quick Polls to focus on "just for fun" poll responses and were no longer getting data of value from the previous poll system - which is fine, but I agree that it would be nice to see the Quick Polls updated more often even if they're not being used for data capture and analysis.

I think you missed the point of the 'Player Power' initiative - "our way of giving you the content you want ."

Jagex: "Hey, players! We care about what you think! Here's a very specific yes/no question to determine how you guys feel about something we've been considering!"

Players: responds to poll and gains a significant result leaning towards one option over the other

Jagex: "Haha...it was a joke. Seriously, how were we supposed to know you would vote for the opposite of what we were intending? You really think that we would just change what we were going to do because of what you told us in that poll where we asked for your input? Silly players."

I don't see how you can possibly say the outcome of a poll is just whatever when it's literally the point to ask for players opinions in order to decide what to do. Why else even have the poll if you don't care what the response is. Might as well just ask players what their favourite colour is if you care so little about their opinions.
