20 episodes into Hunter hunter (i refuse to say the x since its pointless). is it worth watching the other ~130 episodes? I feel as if it might lose some of its excitement soon? idk....just seems like a lot of time for the possibility to get disapointed.

HUNTER X HUNTER IS THE MOST AMAZING SHOW EVER, YOU INCLUDE THAT X THEY FUCKING EARNED IT!
In other news I decided to try out Re: Zero and ended up watching episodes 1-21 all in one go. Amazing show, easily the deepest show I've ever seen. Kinda hate the mc for all the times he has had his head up his ass, being a moron, and picking the wrong girl but other than that the show is a complete masterpiece. And it still has 4 episodes left for him to change his mind and pick the best girl.

And for the end of episode 21
When she says "Killing the god damn white whale was just a side goal for you???"
He should have said something like "I would fight 30 white whales for the honor of dying at my master's side, but for a chance to win I would have beat 100 of them." And because she could tell if he was lying that would have earned him major respect from the sword demon.
Also if she wanted to fight the whale, him telling her where the whale is just gives her what she wants. I can't believe he didn't say he would give her the location of the whale, and lure it in exchange for help fighting the cultists. fucking idiot. But yes agree 100% he is sucking less lately.

It only gets better so ye it's worth watching.
There's nothing stopping you and me from making all these memories.
I really like re:zero and the main character. I don't know why everyone hates him so much. He's realistic and just a ordinary guy, if you were in that situation and kept dying, knowing that everything you did was for nothing, watching the people you love get brutally murdered in front of you and have the feeling of intense pain just as you die. I think people are just numbed down by OP main characters that aren't realistic at all and find this one a slow progression but I just find it more realistic which makes it more believable and relatable.
Although the most recent episodes have kinda been meh, the fight against the white wale was good at best and in episode 21 there was two hints of mild fan service between Rem and the main character which bothered me and has me worried for the future of the show.

Are you crazy? He has infinite fucking respawns. He can literally brute force a winning solution by constantly trying combinations and learning from his failures. Each failure should take him a step closer to success. For example:
Trap 1: Too weak to defeat assassin. Ways to survive: 1) prevent theft. 2) Get more power - Convince thieves to aid you (easy with knowledge of the future), enlist help of super OP friendly knight. 3) Rob the thieves and get the fuck out of dodge.
Trap 2: Rem too suspicious, Cursed, village attacked. Ways to survive: 1a) Bond with Rem/someone that influences Rem. 1b) cure the curse when it is a single bite on everyone and avoid insane fight.
Trap 3: White Whale and Cultists. Ways to survive: 1a) Use knowledge of failed negotiations to sell whale info in exchange for aid fighting the cultists. Retry whale and cultists for best strategy.
As long as you use your brain and don't give up it is not difficult to make progress each time and save your friends. His progress is slow because his head is up his ass. Makes sense if he is Pride.
death hurts, a lot i would assume, especially when someones torturing you and eviscerating people that are important to you infront of you, try and be in a perfectly fine scenario with that, but oh wait, you are thinking of it like a game instead of like a human making all of your observations irrelevant
!
@wolfie, i must say while i don't really care much for action scenes, the plot outside of it is holding my interest well.
After watching the end of killua's fight with Riehlvelt I couldn't help but laugh and what i loved the most is that it didn't feel like a forced joke or anything. For reference, its when killua shoots him up in the air while being electrocuted and asks him if he wishes to be caught(and electrocuted) or to die. It may seem sadistic but it was just the funniest thing to see his face when he realized what being caught meant. (episode 34) I felt like a lot of the "jokes" in the first arc revolved around Leorio being the "stupid" friend in the group and making all the bad calls and judgements which I don't really find amusing considering these are the people that are supposed to be the elitists in terms of strength mentally/physically/logically.
edit: laughed again when Gon said he'd turn the snakes to maximum and then just stuck his tongue out instead. I guess its the small things they do that make me laugh.
while im enjoying it, i still miss the old ending song
edit: wanted to ask the people that might know more about the culture, what does holding up the two fingers mean? i see it a lot combined with the winking.
