What happened to the google doc thing that let you drop in pictures to get the h/s/l? Is it still a thing or nah?
Hi there,
Thanks for showing interest in the colour grabber. It turns out google has shut down their free hosting service that it was hosted on, in favour of their other options.
I've just put it up under a new domain:
http://colour-picker.rs-blasty.appspot.com/
I haven't made any changes to it, so it should still work the same way it did before.

I hope that helps!
I feel silly but I can not figure out how to use this. I drag an image to it and it opens in html format. Google urls 404 when typed, and when i add ?url= to the blasty link, it returns me to the default png.
instructions unclear, dick caught in ceiling fan.
edit - even when i try to localhost it it just returns me to the default png.

Eek, sorry about that!
I've done a bit of testing to find possible reasons for that, and it looks like a tool I was using before to get around a cross domain image fetching restriction doesn't work anymore.
The colour picker should still work for grabbing colours from pictures if the following steps are taken to select images:
1. Open the image in a web browser, which could involve uploading it to an image hosting service like imgur.
2. Right-click the image and select "Copy image"
3. Go back to the colour picker and paste (e.g. ctrl-v)
If everything works smoothly, the image should appear in the colour picker.
Sorry for the confusion! If there's enough interest in the colour picker, I'll have a look at fixing the bugs.
@Blasty, negative on that for me friend. Tried an imgur, puush, picture from wiki and a local host image in html format, i can not paste, via ctrl v to the color picker. :c
