There's a guy in the 15th anniversary documentary they're making that Met, married, and had kids with a woman his own age through RS.

So whatever those 120 cape wearing dancers in Daemonheim are espousing with their "Ed8" Lingo, can surprisingly work out.

I don't really see how catfishing could be an issue in online dating. A Skype call literally takes 15 seconds, and it can confirm that someone is who they claim they are. Emotional catfishing, aka someone being a scumbag when they seem perfect, is still a problem, but that's why you get to know them IRL as soon as possible.

I see online dating the same way I see buying a car online, I didn't spend 2 years talking to the guy who was selling a 2008 Miata and learned every single detail, I read his ad, called him up then went to go check it out. As far as I've seen, the biggest problem is that people "date" someone for a long time, only to meet up and find that the person acts totally different. In my experience with online dating... Eh. Trans people basically meet people exclusively online, as it's pretty complicated to find someone who is into that sorta thing. You get pretty good at telling the legitimate people from the players or the chasers, but really, as long as you go into it being ready to ditch someone who isn't up to snuff, it's fine. That also a nice facet of online dating... If it doesn't work out, you don't get that awkward interaction at work/school/social events, it's as if you never met them.

I don't like the dating game and as such I don't like dating sites either.

I much prefer being friends with someone so you get to know them, then the friendship can remain what it is or grow to become love. I'm not really concerned with whether this happens in the real world or online. It's just important to me that a relationship is built on friendship and trust rather than a random booty call you have nothing in comon with besides sexual compatibility.
