Struggling to find what I really want to do, second year starts Thursday.  Yay.

What first year courses did you do? Did anything interest you really at all?

I took general education courses.  I'm finishing them up this semester, since I only took 3 classes my first, and 2 my second(my anxiety flared trying to take 4 courses, had to drop down to 3, and 2 because lolmoney) but next semester I'm looking at taking courses for Communication Design.

I shouldn't have said struggling.  I know what I REALLY want to do, I just don't know if I can commit.

What is you really want to do? If you enjoy it you should enjoy your time studying said subject and try to not worry about commitment

Digital art :L I should be alright once I actually get into the program.

I'm currently studying Sport Science full time (3 year course) I plan on becoming a PE teacher or Physiopherapist once I finish.

I also study Astronomy part time (2 classes a week) but purely out of interest. Idk how long the Astronomy class goes for, it's too spread out. Because I'm only doing 2 classes per week it'd take like 10 years at current speed to finish the degree.

I plan on working in sport (and hopefully enjoying it) for the next 7 years (paying off bills and uni costs) until I eventually get my degree (or maybe even PHD but would ages) By which time I figured I would be sick of working in sport and take up being an astronomer or researcher.

Luckily If im able to pass i'd have a pretty massive array of qualifiations so would be able to do anything :)

I'm on the verge of completing an apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering.

As it's an apprenticeship system I get paid while I'm learning and also when I complete my training I've already got a company/firm to work for. I've been well trained by my employer and look forward to completing many projects with them.

I was trained in the Industrial field of works, so I complete electrical projects in factories. Since I live in New Zealand I'm not exposed to many major industrial companies although I have had the pleasure of working at two of the many Silver Fern Farms meat processing sites.

Anyway, furthering my education I will be studying Instrumentation:

Looking forward to being able to install complex instruments in the controlling processes in factories everywhere I can get to. :)

I figured I would get a lot of responses about engineering. Seems to be super popular these days, as it's where the money is!

My uncle tried to force engineering on me, since he did a BSc in engineering and makes an unreal amount of money (like 350k/year), but it just doesn't interest me. When I first attended University I had planned to enter Pharmacy school, but after doing a few biology/chemistry courses, I decided I hated that and I would hate my career standing behind a counter, pushing out pills to customers.

I'm fascinated by the way that math works, and how everything fits together, all connected by math. Calculus was developed over 400 years ago and it's still a major part of most science degrees today; that is insane! Fibonacci numbers appear everywhere, the golden ratio appears everywhere, it just fascinates me. I knew I wanted to spend my life trying to improve the field in which Im studying/try to get other people interested in mathematics, so I decided to pursue my current degree.

AN UPDATE ON MY EDUMACATION.

I went to the Graphic Arts department at my school and applied for a program transfer.  I'll be starting courses for Communication Design, and will be studying in the gaming and illustration module c:
