When stressed, I do one or a combination of the following:
- Listen to music (I listen to classical music when stressed out)
- Walk my dog
- Run
- Lie down and close my eyes
- Play video games
- Do fun stats, chemistry & physics problems
All of these generally either allow myself to think about the problem deeply, or to think about something else until I can think about the problem with a more rational train of thought.
Something else that I like to think about is small amounts of stress can actually promote immune system activity, and make you less susceptible to viral and bacterial infections; stress isn't all that bad. However large, chronic amounts of stress are unhealthy.
