It's a pretty safe bet that was the only thing that you were blocking.
However here's a list of what RS Linkify embeds.
Images - png, jpg, gif, ico
Video - Youtube, Twitch, Vimeo, gifv, webm, ogv, ogg, mov, and mp4.
Other - Twitter, Giphy, Gfycat, Vine, SoundCloud, Blasty's HLF Poll
I think that's about it.
So no reddit, I believe they have an api but I haven't looked into it. If it means giving RS Linkify control of your reddit account, then it's doubtful I'll even look at it.
Tbh I'm really not sure about it. There are some huge posts on reddit, and not only that fitting the comments into a forum post is going to get messy.
I don't know if others agree but some content is best opened in a separate tab, here's an example of what I mean. https://redd.it/42iatz
Curious to hear what others think, as this was the same with google docs. I decided not to embed docs as they just don't work well in a forum post.
Edit:
Okay I have a had a very quick look into it. Firstly I don't understand a thing about reddit. All the api calls seem to be about votes, flair and comments.
In fact I can't find any way to retrieve data on the original post. Even on reddit's pages there's no option to embed the original post, yet sometimes every single comment has an embed option. Makes me think it can be done, but I've had no success :/
In all fairness I don't get this reddit stuff, but surely there is a way to use json to get some basic info about the first post?
Sorry I haven't been much help as yet, I might look into it some more, I have a feeling I must be missing something huge.
