My friend mentioned Linkify may be causing the "IQ9" signature thingy, it overrides someone's actual signature when Linkify loads onto the page. It isn't consistent though, however I tried disabling Linkify and IQ9 wasn't appearing at all for me, it may have just been chance..

Haven't checked just yet, but could potentially be something to do with certain (/any?) colours used in the signature, or a certain character, not sure

E2: Colour is irrelevant, saw it happen with Singularity's post which is just a centred ".", so maybe its BB codes interfering somehow

Hmmm, I think I might need to do a little catching up, as you're the first to mention this to me.

I need to see if this is happening on Opera and Chrome. I assume it is.

Here's what I do know. In the last 48 hours there have been two updates to the forums, both had an effect on signatures. But it was pretty minor stuff. The censor was being applied to signatures in the specialist forums, then today the censor stopped applying to signatures in specialist forums.

But that doesn't really point to the thing you describe. Something has changed and if Linkify isn't playing nice I'll do something about it :)

I'll have a look at linkify first thing in the morning (late nights and code are not a combination for me).

Tbh IQ9 sounds a little insulting, didn't know an IQ could get so low.

I'll keep you updated, your friend could very well be correct.

IQ9 is Linkify-related. Just tried.

It can be re-produced if you constantly refresh the page. Eventually the signature will turn to "IQ9" if Linkify is enabled. Disabling Linkify does not return "IQ9" no matter how much you refresh.

It will even add "IQ9" if a player does not have a signature. .
