Re-install did the trick. :P Thanks.

I did try disabling adblock and refreshing, but it didn't work. But after re-install, had it back on & didn't change any other extensions, and linkify works as normal again... Idk if it got corrupted or something. But didn't seem to me like it was conflicting with any others.

Thanks for getting back to me, and I'm glad you got it sorted.

I don't often recommended a reinstall, but what you described isn't something I have encountered often.

The only cause for this that I have been able to confirm in the past was after using windows system restore. It seems system restore trashes code that depends on javascript files. I don't know if that applies to your case, and if not I can only assume as you said, something got corrupted somewhere, perhaps during the updating process.

Hopefully it'll be smooth sailing from here on :)

Well let me get back on this one more time. :P Because I did do a system restore yesterday due to a couple bluescreens (and even then the system restore broke start-up process lol, but thankfully it was fixed)... I guess because nothing else was broken after having it done, I didn't even think of it as a cause for this.

But yea, there it is, for research purposes.

Awesome, thank you again for your replies :)

What happens is some files are restored and others are not. Linkify is left with a mix of old (rolled back files) and most recent files. So code from the recent files are calling for routines that have since been removed.

That's why a reinstall is the only way to fix it. Updating wont necessarily fix it since the update may not make changes to all the affected files.

Took awhile to clear out many threads off of my profile as it retains 198 of them. In relation to recent news, as I did not see it mentioned yet, this might be something to look at soon:

Edit: Sotox, you sure it isn't related to this:
