Here you go, it's a bit short though. If the image contained a bit more of his chest it would have filled the 100 x 100 dimensions for avatars better. See how it goes :)

Hello Indecent Act , I can see the advantage to using that over what I use. I knew mine has something some validators do not like if I remember correctly (/i). It's nice to share these ideas to improve upon all capturing methods.

As regular expressions are more of a write only language, it takes me awhile to discern some things. Kind of like when I look at the RSWiki's AbuseFilter settings. It's something that unless I know what the initial purpose was, I'll likely never know. Me writing regular expressions is rare and something I usually have others verify so that I know I haven't missed a thing.

The usage of grabbing the session token for both the secure session and the unsecure session, in my case, shouldn't end up with links from the forums as the script won't work unless you're in a section of the HTTPS Secure part of the site.

I'm not seeing any issues and it is really better than what I throw out there. Also I try to read every post since I began to repost back in last July on this thread; so don't worry, I'll see it. :)

Cheers,
Ryan M

I wouldn't say it's better, one thing I forgot to do was check for a leading forward slash :/

yes pun intended in that smiley!

There are some other things that this lacks as well. For example the result is an object and comparisons will be made against strings. So it's limited to using == operator since they wont the same object type.

I got some nice ideas and new approaches from code you posted. I'm fond of the bool like (Hmmm "bool like" sounds like an oxymoron to me) result, and that's exactly what your example gives before the if() statement. I thought that was really neat and I based everything from that.

So thanks again for sharing that :)

Edit: I just noticed this...

Put a big smile on my face :)

Even the signature with qfc. To say you are thorough is an understatement!

Ryan M had a regex thing and he didn't come to me? I'm a bit disappointed. I know he knows I'm great at regex.

Ryan M knows me pretty well though. Especially for my coding abilities. I'm another renowned editor at the wiki, and he's seen my work.

Hi Mol/Apple Bloom. You've found me here. I'll remember the next time I need to have to write some regular expressions. :)

I'm not sure why or how, but for some reason I knew you had something to do with wiki.

It's good to know there's a regex guru near by :)

Outside of the modules Mol makes on the wiki, he made the largest contribution to what I like to use every time after a system update to check for new items:
http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/RuneScape:Image_Fetcher

The editor base is everywhere, for we are legion. Joking aside, I'm glad you liked the image mock-up to which some styling change had to be made for it to work. All that's really missing right now - outside of the lack of control images and membership badge - are blockquotes styling since it appears they are moving to <blockquote> and <q>.
