Yes it will count as a view because RS Linkify will verify it's an image before attaching the spoiler tag. The verification process 'hits' the image, so spoiler or not will make no difference.

I don't think there is anything you can do (unless you are hitting many pages a minute, or hiding your user agent string and looking like a bot). However I doubt that's the problem. I have made some changes this morning, too early to tell if it's helped though.
