lol i just found it

Okay it's not a legit format from what I can tell. It seems imgur using it as an mp4 extension. I'll make linkify handle it and change them to mp4.

I have no idea why they are doing that, but it should be easy to sort out.

Thanks for posting, I haven't seen this before and even though I don't think (I could be wrong) it's a legit extension, you haven't done anything wrong in the way you posted the link.

I expect the gifv means gif video. All they seem to have to have done is use mp4 and remove the player controls.

Edit:

RS Linkify Version 3.1.6.2 will embed gifv just as nature intended (thanks Glacor)
