This will sound odd and seemingly unrelated but it's not. It all stems from fmod badges. When hovering over them colours sometime glitch. The colours can be in signature or post and not all colours do it.
The only work around I have been able to come with is the what I'm doing currently. Not perfect but much better than flickering colours. Less of of two evils kind of thing.
I think it is more of a browser bug than a code bug. It can be avoided in many cases, but it would require a complete restructure of these pages.
Probably not the answer you wish to hear but there are circumstances (without RS Linkify running) where the hover glitch gets very annoying.
This all started when runelabs section came out. The hover glitch was isolated to there until the reskin, now it has been introduced into these pages. Its not actually the font weight that changes, it is actually the colour and perhaps font rendering/smoothing too.
I wish there was more I could do. Hardly perfect but this is the choice I have a made, flickering glitch or intermittent colour glitch. I choose the latter.
I just looked into it some more hoping there are some known work arounds but nothing seems to have changed in the last year or so in regard to this :/
