I think you need to take surplus melee experience into account. You should look at the big picture, and not just raw experience rates and ratios.

Time saved (Slayer): 685 hours - 625 hours = 60 hours
Time saved (Defence, using 700k/h in the Abyss) = (69,000k - 17,000k)/700k/h = 72 hours
Total time saved = 60h + 72h = 132 hours
gp/h required for SET UP #2>SET UP #1 (no alternate account) = 2,500,000k/132 hours = 18.9m/h
gp/h required for SET UP #2>SET UP #1 (alternate account at 10m/h) = (2,500,000k + (10,000k/h * 72h))/132h = 24.4m/h

CONCLUSION
In order for the first list to be more efficient than the second list if you are not able to play on an alternate account while you train Defense in the Abyss, you need to be able to make over 18.9m/h.
In order for the first list to be more efficient than the second list if you are able to play on an alternate account that can makes 10/h while you train Defense in the Abyss, you need to be able to make over 24.4m/h.
