The best combat xp rates per hour correlate to the best weapon xp/invention xp rates as you get weapon xp at a 6% rate of combat xp for a 2h (mh is 4%, oh is 2%) and armor xp at 4% of the combat xp. The only exception is when monsters give over 5k xp drops (only bosses afaik), which will cap the received weapon xp at 300 and armour xp at 200 for each armour piece. These xp caps make those monsters less efficient for invention xp.
The most efficient slayer lists (assuming global efficiency for 200ms) involved maximizing combat xp already, therefore the approach should remain roughly the same.

In addition to that, I believe Lifer said on another thread that with just a weapon siphon 200M melee skills would already give you such a chunk of Invention XP that you don't really need to break down armour and such, or skip bosses like Armadyl for the sake of Invention XP.

That is indeed correct. Neither Invention or Slayer are limiting factors. So keeping the focus on combat xp is the way to go.

Wasn't only slayer xp buffed though? I did hear they are op slayer xp (like 500k+ xp/h), but generally (ofc, depends on each person) I think focusing on better combat xp tasks is still better.
I made no calculations though after they added those tasks (and I won't do them until they fix perks and we can update kills/h on slayer tasks), so it's possible slayer xp may be more valuable in the future. Talking of which, doing elves with scythe is also very good for slayer xp, potentially 400k+ xp/h.

I went and tested them and they are indeed OP af slayer xp (500k could be right) but they also give more slayer xp than combat xp (2830 slayer xp and 2245 combat xp) so yeah not particularly worth it unless you drumgunned your slayer xp or something
some notes on ripper demons:
devotion is great
reflect + revenge stacking with a defender would probably work really well but unfortunately i don't have a t90 defender and couldn't be bothered going to get a t80 melee one
debilitate also great but not as great as devotion (obviously)
probably worth using achto teralith for the defensive resets + defender damage if you were going to try to spam reflect + revenge + devotion
downsides include you're forced into using darklight + offhand (drygore/defender) so no invention xp from either of those unless you're a maniac and augmented an offhand drygore, if you decide to use teralith then unless you have achto plate + legs then you're not getting invention xp from that either and you're forced into a yak unless you're some sort of monster tank

Mostly no. The rates can still be used to give an idea, but there were quite some changes made to slayer since the sheet was actively updated. New tasks, invention (and the perks are pretty good now), new killing methods, etc.
And anyway, personally, I don't think it's worth gathering data to update the sheet right now, since there are more changes to come (specially with invention - but maybe other stuff happens, like a task which can be done at gwd2).
