A while ago a concept art for 120 all max/ 120 all comp / and 120 all trim cape were drawn up in a jagex mods free time. I still think they look great and was looking forward to the idea as I was completing all of my 120’s. Put simply PLEASE ADD THEM TO THE GAME.
What are you’re thoughts on the idea of those 3 capes existing?

Think it should be 200mil in all skills though. But I think its stupid that so many capes have particles and there is no version of MAX with particles. Lame
I mean if that stuff is cosmetic only it wouldn't hurt, but 120 shouldn't be considered as a milestone with the exception of those 6 skills, which actually go up to that point and offer methods intended to reach it. Sure - there are level 99 skills, which already offer comparable rates, allowing 120 to be reached reasonably - but there also are enough skills, which clearly have experience rates, that are decently enough for going to 99, but certainly not way past that. There was some agility rant a couple of weeks ago from somebody who already felt obligated to go for level 120 and beyond, being angry about experience rates that just aren't intended for that. Introducing 'milestone' capes like those would only amplify that issue further.
Years ago I said for a similar proposal, that the vast majority of skills should actually be 120 skills, before something like this was to be taken into consideration. I now rather would say most skills should be reasonably enough to reach that point, without forcing players into certain kinds of behaviour - not just unhealthy grinding, but also trying to speed that up via the MTX route. That point just hasn't been reached right now, albeit it's obviously a lot better, than at that point back then.
That said - I am always for reasonably extending skills to level 120 (and beyond), if they are able to make good use of their current level cap already and would highly benefit from an extension - herblore and farming certainly did, slayer certainly was a bit more questionable - not by now, but rather the time it was extended.

200m isn't considered as a milestone at all by jagex - thus it even had been excluded with their comp cape rework proposal.

I am kinda doing 120s to future proof myself against loss of capes, but... I protest making anything other of it because its too much gatekeeping, and kinda the wrong direction for growing the game.
conversely the emergence of the kal-zuk and the like for those who accomplish pvm feats... its attainable for newer players. Thats good for the game. It makes sense. Beat the toughest bad guy and get a really good cape.
cosmetics that demand toxic efficiency... like... being told you have to spend energy for best xp an hr to do 120 div... thats not supposed to be so visible to newer players, and it already is because of the goofy phenomenon of grinders petitioning events, changes to yelps, th, etc.
like right now... a brand new player, day one, can be taken to easy glacor and power leveled, and they feel like theyre playing -with- me. if I dropped them off at gnome agility and say "I'll be back in 10 hours" I'll find them perma quit the game. It is, however, true that we're best advised to retain newly recruited players right AFTER a dxp event, to maximize time we play WITH them until dropping them off at w84 portables to read alt right trolling bait and grind grind with chats off using the xp tipped crap from th... I mean... its all fucking stars, lamps, proteans and there are 4 dxp events a year. The game is tilted WAAAAAY too hard toward that.
It was better when th had "dust devil mask" and hinted that trips to the chaos tunnels to fight dusties was the intent, the content, the reason to keep playing.
I think its already true... any given world... 75% of the world's pop is at elf city, and thus hidden away from new players. How problem is that!? You wanna buy more than a month membership to keep the three people at burthorpe company? um...
so if it was a vote:
A) please make a group mode for shattered worlds
B) give super addicted grinding players more to flex with as consolation prize for lacking a kal-zuk...

so no. no, a million times no. Another cape for 120 should be so far down the list of priorities that it never happens.
I'd truly rather see them rework every single novice quest, then beginner, then medium, etc. Do more work to grow the game for new players. Thats better for us, at HLF, than more of the already present gatekeeping.

runescore is awesome. future proofing is awesome. more th flex... not so much, or not at all.
really truly wish any/all passion project went to remastering ALL of the novice quests. we need new players to stay. not more gatekeeping.
