In the year 2007, a guy named Bnx Leader gave me full Zamorak rune armor randomly one day after me telling him I was saving for it. A week or two later another guy named Usmellbad50 asked me to try the armor on and I thought I knew the guy pretty good cause I had been hanging out with him for a week or two killing things, so I decided to let him. Needless to say he instantly logged out on me as soon as I accepted the trade button and I felt really bad about it seeing how it was a gift. So when I see Bnx Leader again a day later (I was his air rune runner
at the time lol) he asked me why I wasn't wearing the armor and as much as I didn't want to admit it, I told him what had happened and that I felt so bad. So what does he do? He trades me and gives me another full Zamorak rune set. You have to remember that at these times in RS this was worth a lot, around 1.4m at the time which was an inconceivable amount of money to my 15 year old noob brain.

If it wasn't for Bnx Leader I believe my journey through the years would've been so much different to how it actually turned out. I decided on going for 99 Runecrafting as my first 99 not long after that happened because of him. He also inspired me to be generous to people and helpful instead of like the guy who scammed me and I can honestly say I have some of the most amazing memories on this game just from helping people out over the years. That one event made such an impact on me and I hope I have been able to do the same for others at one point or another lol

I collect skulls, one for each victim I slay in PvP. I do this because when I killed my first victim, they were standing on a skull, and in my infinite wisdom, I thought it was a drop from them.
Since then, I resolved to always collect a new skull for every victim. I have about 3,600 skulls now. :P Some of them were from green dragon bots, but most are fairly "legit" kills. I don't tend to kill skillers, and have never knowingly attacked penguin hunters. I still have standards. :P
------------

That for the past seven years, I have been at war with Imps. I even made a "formal declaration of war", which is basically paraphrasing Chamberlain's declaration of war. The transcript is as follows:

"This morning I handed the Impish Government a final note stating that unless I heard from them by eleven o'clock, on this day the Twenty-seventh of October, that they were prepared at once to surrender the Imp Champion's Challenge Scroll to my possession, that a state of war would exist between us.

I have to tell you now that no such scroll has been received, and that consequently I am at war with the Imps."

It was originally made as an in-joke on my old clan's website, but it soon became one of the "clan legends", that one of them had formally declared war. To this day, I still have not received that scroll, despite battling thousands of imps, and as such the war continues. I actively kill any imp which dares to cross my path.
It does make going past the Ardougne Monastery difficult, as there's almost always imps there and by the time you've killed them all others have spawned in!
A couple of clannies from back then still play, and we've (somewhat jokingly, somewhat seriously) agreed to hold a peace ceremony, when (or should it be if ...) I receive the scroll.
If you only do what you can do, you will never be more than you are now.

LOL, do let me know if that peace ceremony is ever scheduled. I'll make it an official event for your (our) current clan. :D

I love that idea! :P Might be a few long years before it happens though... or it might be tomorrow. Who knows? One day... maybe... hopefully...

@Queenvalerie - Isn't it funny how most of us attribute our luck to some random item which (almost certainly) doesn't have any effect at all? Have you had better luck now you've returned the portraits?
I keep a 4 leaf clover in my real world wallet in the hope it'll bring me more money. It's always the first item I place in any new wallet. Wasn't too lucky though, it was stolen along with the rest of my wallet! :P
I also have a 5 leaf clover which I carry into any examination, and the night before sleep with the textbook(s) for the exam under my pillow. Haven't failed any yet! I know it almost certainly doesn't have any effect, yet I feel compelled to do so every time.
If you only do what you can do, you will never be more than you are now.

I have dreams about runescape. And sometimes at nite i lay in bed when i cant sleep planning the next days scaping.

I have also jumped out of bed to go log in to make sure the dreams were indeed dreams.

I also woke up screaming when i dreamed the qbd had gotten into my real house and all i had was a mith shield.

Runescape is life.
