Regular Devoted is irrelevant now, so I wouldn't recommend AIM'ing for it in anyway put (including, and especially with Impatient). I would strongly recommend having Enhanced Devoted 3 on your armor.

Hmm, I tend to find Imp3/Devo3 to be better for me, as it saves a slot, and I'd want Imp3, anyway.

I suppose I'd possibly prefer EnDevo3, if I was purely tanking.. though even then, faster addren gain has it's advantages.

What is it that you find so good about the extra 4.5% chance, that makes it outweigh having 27% chance of extra addren? (or better than the worst perk you'd have otherwise, that you replace with the Impatient3 you can no longer have paired with Devo3).

It's likely it's obvious, but for some reason I'm not seeing it, atm.

Having Absorbative3 gives 15% reduction of all type-damage, 60% of the time, which averages out as 9% of all type-damage.

EnhDevo3 has a 4.5% advantage over Devo3, to reduce typed-damage by 100%, so is a 4.5% damage reduction chance, but with a duration timer.

The duration timer makes it much more useful, but the degree depends on the speed of attacks, and whether they stay the same style/are all of the same style.

Devo's effectiveness as a whole, relies upon those things (and making sure you're praying for the correct type).

To me, it seems like the choice of whether to have an extra 4.5% from EnhDevo, with prayer-bound limitations, or a flat 9% on all, is going to vary, as to which turns out better, from situation, to situation.

I never suggested getting rid of Impatient 3 in favor of Enhanced Devoted 3. What I said/meant is that AIM'ing for getting Impatient 3 And regular Devoted 2 in the same gizmo is pointless, because Enhanced Devoted 3 is much stronger than the filler gizmo slot you would have (most people add Absorbative 3 there), and having Enhanced Devoted there would override regular devoted perk, so it would be pointless to have it with Impatient 3.

Summary: Impatient 3 perk is great, and a must for DPS, and it should stay, but trying to get regular devoted with it is futile.

*sorry, wasn't expecting fast replies, I was still editing.

It is okay, but a correction that others did the math and Absorbative 3 overall damage reduction is only 3%, and not 9%. Also, having Devoted 3 alongside Impatient 3 is very rare, and you can waste hundreds of millions without getting it (not that if you did, it would be better than having Enhanced Devoted 3 anyway).

Oh, so the label for Absorptive is incorrect? I didn't realise.. that certainly changes things.

I have managed Imp 3 Devo 3 via Iron-manning, but only once, so far.. and not really wishing to give it up.. so I guess I'll swap my Absor3 with another perk, for the set I use Imp3/Devo3 on, but use EnDevo3 for other sets.

Edit: Ah, the 20% stays constant, that explains it, lol.
