I tried to get honed 5, three times, and failed. Used 5 Silent Components. Am I using a wrong combination?

I wasted so many components trying to get Honed 5/Polishing 3, and ended up settling for Honed 4/Plishing 2.

Does anyone have a recommended components combination for both of these perks, where it give the max rank? It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation. ~Herman Melville

Remember jmods said that a combination of components is better than one component for getting stuff, maybe 4 of the rare ones and one of the uncommon or 3/2? Not really tried to get those perks so idk if they give the max rank but a combination is better than one
