aftershock damage is tracked via perk, rank doesn't matter.
made an aftershock2/planted feet switch for sunspear. threw mobile on the second slot. was hoping reflexes was a weapon perk, woulda been a nice adren stall combo.
threw a failed aftershock1 and a planted feet on a dark bow for anything else.
sunspear ain't bad either. provides a switch for all 3 styles. made that first and then the dbow specifically for range since i already had dryg/wand switches for the other two.
It's a shame you can't buy multiple sunspears. I'm a preset whore so having three sunspears would have pleased me greatly
I'm currently abusing my Scavenging 3 in preperation for t90s/defenders becoming augmentable, then I'll see what I end up doing with perks I guess - but it's nice to know there's a less expensive way to not get aftershock to clear its stacks.

yeah i only have one spear but the preset always reminds me if it's in the wrong style lol. only trouble i have is when i'm slaying i'll forget it altogether/forget to switch styles since i don't have slay presets.
i believe i read that you can buy a second spear if your first one is augmented. should give that a try if you want, that might be what you need.
i finally got a scavenging 3 with anti lol, not sure where to use it so it's just sitting in bank with like 30 other gizmos.
I'm *pretty* sure I tried that, but I'll give it another try the next time I bank, thank you.
Scavenging 3 is really good for general Slayer - preferably high KPH monsters such as Dagannoths - or in the Abyss, which is where I've been using it. If you just want to afk for an hour or two, I'd say go sit in the abyss if you want combat xp, or dagannoths if you want charms. - You'll get a bunch of uncommon components.
