I think I'm officially at sunk cost, where it isn't even worth continuing to go for a lance. It's so demotivating wanting nothing more than to get a lance but being told at the end of every instance to go fuck yourself because you'll never get one. I've solod, I've duod, I've never even seen the 'x person in your group has received a Dragon Rider Lance', and yet it seems like every time I do a trip, someone else in my clan is also at Vindicta, and lo and behold at a lower KC with a lower drop chance, they manage to get a lance. What. The fuck.

Hey, I know it sucks. But you'll get there! Have faith! (and accept rng is a bitch sometimes :/)

Ok, having trouble with ranged. Got the greater runic for mage, not the best but it does its job. Got drag weps for melee, only just entered the realm of 70+ so I'll have to own barrows some time. However, I've been using rune cbows at 77 ranged for a while now.

My current thinking is: nerd the hell out of 3m dung xp for dual cbows, or get good at qbd.

Any other thinkings?

You can use salamanders until you get the RCB. They go from T40-T70 but they require hunter, and have to go to the Wilderness if you want a black salamander (T70). I bought a chaotic staff with my tokens because I thought it would be a waste to spend them on another T80 that I would eventually get from uncommon drops from QBD.

oh yeah, there's also the fact that crossbows are 1.5x more expensive than the staff lol
