Oh, so I'm planning on Prayer being my first 99 but I need to be kinda careful so that HP doesn't get there first and right now I'm kinda stuck and not sure what to do.

Obviously there's daily JoT and Nemi and weekly Agoroth & penguins and monthly god statues, but without having to rely on those so much (I'd like to get this as soon as possible) I'm not sure what I can do to minimize HP EXP but also semi-efficiently train Prayer. I know Vyres are really good but I seem to be getting minimal Prayer EXP/hour for some reason, and I don't have the 20M it would cost to buy Seren crystals (I need 189 of them if I train during Hefin hour)

Am I just kinda screwed out of combat for a while? I still have 1.5M HP EXP to go to 99 but I'm trying to be really careful with it since I do reaper tasks and stuff daily or every other day or so.

Should I just do Vyres and stop doing combat altogether and just do D&Ds to level it up? I can't really think of any ways to make the 20M I would need for the Seren crystals that doesn't involve combat. :(

What is your prayer xp?

If you have less than 1.8m to go you can kill spectres with attuned ect. It'll cut it close but you'll make enough cash to get you there on stones.

^_^ thanks, I'm trying to do more GWD so I can get some decent armor. I've been stuck on Akrisae's and dragon rider/barrows for way too long now.

Barrows is actually better than gwd armour, just requires repairing. I used it for years on mainscape cause I was cheap :L

Also, yes, Barrows has higher defence but the damage from GWD armor counteracts that, plus it indirectly adds a little more healing to Soul Split

Ideally training combat for both prayer and cash is the way to go if you can. That way before you hit 99 hitpoints you'll have the cash to finish off prayer.

I think it could be do-able and maybe even leave some room for some reaper tasks/bossing/etc as well. However, since reaper combat xp is unknown I'll leave it out of the picture to be safe.

Spiritual mages: Good money.

Assuming killing spiritual mages earns 218.1 hitpoints xp per kill (info from wiki so best to double check 1st).

You could kill 6,800 spiritual mages and still not reach 99 hitpoints, I'm confident you'd make the 16-20 mil from alchs. I made over 10 mil gp just getting my first set of warpriest from there and I know I didn't kill 6k+ mages.

Edit: Ectoplasy-thingy will earn you prayer xp while killing them too if you have one.

With sunspear: killing vyrelords/ladies

6,600 kills will keep you under 99 hitpoints, each kill earns 280 prayer xp.
(Roughly based on 1.5 mil hipoints xp remaining divided by 224.4 hitpoints xp per kill)

If you have Morytania legs 4 you'll get 50% more prayer and firemaking xp.

Working with 280 prayer xp per kill, would earn you 1.8 mil prayer xp, and certainly enough cash to finish prayer in elf city.

Obviously this all assumes no other combat (reaper, slayer, etc).

But if the numbers I gave are close (please don't take my word for it, double check everything), 99 prayer is very do-able while keeping your hitpoints below 99.


Spiritual mages = faster money

Vyres = cheaper prayer and imo not bad money.

You could probably even toggle between the two. Both can be killed effectively using different combat styles allowing you share the combat xp around.

But I can't stress it enough, double check my numbers because I didn't test any of this, and also good luck :)

I've now started the Dominion tower, which on completion will allow me to do the only 2 tasks I've left. If anyone has any suggestions for the tower (been years since I did it on main :P ), feel free to share them. You will never get anything for free. Anyone claiming that is trying to scam, lure or hijack you.

Don't forget an antifire because it sucks to try to kill Elvarg with level 2 stats even with protect from magic on, make sure you have a weapon for each style and runes for at least air spells - although you should bring runes for all elemental spells in case you get daggermouth mother v2. You can't stall adrenaline between boss fights, Nomad is a pain again, Vanstrom is like 20x the difficulty he is in Branches. I guess if you're planning on staying in the tower for an extended amount of time on Enduring, you might want to bring a yak for extra food and/or potions.

That's about it off the top of my head.

my spreadsheet is a mess but essentially you could kill frosts, bank the bones, and you'll get there easily before 99 HP

essentially you'd need to kill 3,459 frost dragons and would need to use them on gilded altar, and you'd be left with 276k hp exp until 99 when you collect enough bones for 99 pray. (if you do the bone crushing method you won't make it).

yea, remembering which items to bring is the worst thing about getting back into it. otherwise it's pretty damn easy.
