I believe you can buy one from the shop before finishing the quest - I think you only need a greegree and 100K @Chee__RS

I'm stopping at 60 Attack, so a Whip will never be an option.
It's my understanding that you won't be able to buy the Dragon Scimitar before finishing the quest, which would mean I will have to do with a Dragon Longsword till I have the stats to kill that Wilderness boss that drops dscims (if that ever happens with 1 defence).

Would be great if I could buy it before finishing the quest, though.

Edit: From the Wiki:
If the player has not yet completed Monkey Madness I, dragon scimitars will not restock. However, once Monkey Madness is completed (after claiming the experience from Daero) they restock every five minutes.

Wonder if restock means there is an initial supply, though. You will never get anything for free. Anyone claiming that is trying to scam, lure or hijack you.

Wonder if restock means there is an initial supply, though. yea you won't be able to buy it before you complete the quest. Shop stock is 0. With ancients scorpia is very easy. But it is deep wildy in multi combat. Last place you want to be on a low level hardcore Old School
