Invention Perks - What's best?

I've now got to the point in Invention where I'm playing around with different perks for PvM, and I can't really find what works best.
The perks I want are:
Biting 3
Aftershock
Crackling
Precise
Devoted (maybe? It's handy at Araxxor for me)
Lucky (maybe?)
Absorbative (again, handy at Araxxor)
Venomblood (again, money spoder)

If I've missed any out, let me know.

What I want to know is, what's best and in what combinations should I have them, ie on weapons/armour with which other perk etc.
What do you guys have and what do you recommend?

Cool, thanks guys, I think I'd use the first suggestion as that probably what I'd use more :)

This is a very good summary, just bear in mind that aftershock is multitarget and biting is very expensive - you might wanna put something specific there instead of biting, such as venomblood or one of the slayers, or perhaps turtling/bulwark if you use shield often. Biting 2 isn't that much worse and it's very cheap. Also with 3 direct + 2 healthy it's possible to get biting2+venomblood on 1 gizmo. lolsignatures
