you can run nxt on a 5yr old pc w/o issue on lowest graphics and if it was a server issue then it would be alot more ppl posting here than you. from your specs id say it should run fine so theres probably a issue with your pc maybe dodgy hardware or software.
Yeah this client is garbage, every time Im in lobby or on login screen for over 1 minute my display drivers stop working and the clients gets fked up. Can play just fine tho... atleast until now.
What gives?

Maybe Windows 10 updated your display drivers and messed something up? That can happen often as Windows loves to update stuff (even if it might not work properly with your system).

Java is actually being pushed out of the internet entirely in not too distant future. So NXT is not going anywhere. For your information, OSRS does not use it either. How I know, I do not have java installed on my machine and the OSRS vanilla cliant works perfectly.
OSRS is still based on Java. It just doesn't require you to install Java on your machine as the client already has it embedded.
Yes I am aware that is what was done. Actually Jagex did that a long time ago with the RS2 client before OSRS came out. Java was only needed if you still used a web browser. It was done because it was known Java was getting phased out.
I see tweaks on Jagex's end. Perhaps the slowness of my system, is why I see a progression.
Trees and some ground decorations, no longer cycle through individual graphic overlays. Now I see a complete scrambling of colors (sprites?), then the final product is displayed.
This happens each time I teleport, as the entire screen has to be redrawn. I don't see this when moving normally (walking or running), from one map ''section'' to another - which is a big improvement from days-gone-by.
I think the graphics are fantastic. Doing Everlight Dig Site in Archeology, some of the water graphics are a bit overdone. But are awesome. The sea creatures swimming around. I believe , in graphics, the game has gone a long way. Compare it to OSRS. Which doesn't even have a sky.
