Actually, I let the discussion occur all day after a single offhand remark that aptly sums up nearly every popular sports game ever played.
This is a "General Discussion" thread. Not a "World Cup / Sports" thread. If you would like to stay on topic, talk about general things. Not a specific sports-related things.
Mocking the current topic is still quite on topic. But I would rather generate discussion with the other people who may not be posting because they are not interested in sports by bringing up other topics - rather than continue talking about a singlular topic (sports).
To think this thread is only about sports discussion is a lot more self-absorbed.
Not to mention against the thread rules:
- Football talk has now been permanently banned.
