yeah its crazy i mean the valedictorian of my college when graduating this year was an exchange student from norway, i mean further enforcing my belief that the people of nordic countries are #1

he was a film major and idk how hard that was but its impressive nonetheless but it made me realize that competing for jobs, or anything really transcends country borders

I think it was still worth it though, I witnessed how much competition there is out there and learned that I need to work much harder from now on if I want to get anything done.

Leaving the country for foreign study showed me just how many people try and how few succeed. I'm glad you're using it as a motivator, it demotivated me. I saw there were people far more passionate about it than I was and it was doubtful I could compete with those people.

But if it's what you enjoy doing, go for it!  Sometimes a kick to the teeth can be a real motivator to do better.
This was not exactly foreign study that succeeded or failed, it was a two week intensive program. If you mean the exam, failing it means I have to spend 700 euros on a course next year but besides that it's all ok. But yeah the plan now (the past year and half actually) is to move away for post graduate studies, and get a job through uni and permanent residence.
Hi
