Leaving the country for foreign study showed me just how many people try and how few succeed. I'm glad you're using it as a motivator, it demotivated me. I saw there were people far more passionate about it than I was and it was doubtful I could compete with those people.

But if it's what you enjoy doing, go for it! Sometimes a kick to the teeth can be a real motivator to do better. 181m Slayer XP and 37,963 Edimmu slain for my Dungeoneering pet. Slayer is still the worst skill in the game.
