I don't disagree, but I wonder what it'll be like.
It'll almost certainly be in a different format, but I didn't think many OSRS players were bothered about maxing, so would MTX focus more on PvP benefits? PvM maybe?
It'll start lowkey, maybe some fashionscape stuff.
I dunno, I think it's harder to market MTX at the Old School community. The game's very lack of it is the cornerstone of their ethos. I think it's very risky business decision.
Also, their polls annoy the shit out of me, and I don't even play the game.
'Yeah we're not implementing this because it got 74.2% votes in a poll, and needs 75% to pass.'
The mindset of a lot of their community blinds them to good/needed updates as well. 'Lol we can't have that because
RS3
shitscape has it', when half (maybe more) of their entire game's 'new' content is recycled RS3 stuff.
its corner stone is the combat style, not really as much the lack of MTX. plus the surge of "no xp waste" / "EHP" that hit 07 has gone pretty crazy, people would buy if they did it.
A lot of them are certainly like 'Rs3 sux cuz u kan max wif MTX lol fgts'.
Though, thinking about it, I guess some lower levels with irl cash to blow would probably spend money on MTX, maxing skills, etc. I think to that effect it would go down better (in terms of MTX spending) with the mid-low level community, as opposed to the higher end.
José Mourinho's Red Army.
