Yea currently it's actually good that worlds are not populated like that lol. Keighlea said :

any more info about equilibrium perk

Is Eq actually worse than Aftershock though? Since the one minute cooldown cuts the damage from aftershock by like 60% of what it should be
To be more precise:
Aftershock 3 without 1 min cd = +4.8% dps (not dpm dependant)
Equilibrium 3 = +4% dps (not dpm dependant)
Aftershock 3 with 1 min cd = around +2.5% dps (assuming ~100k dpm)

Considering now the combo with biting (remember atm equil blocks biting):
Aftershock 3 without 1 min cd + biting 2/3 = +7.3%/+8.55% (not dpm dependant)
Equilibrium 3 + biting 2/3 if fixed = +6.5%/+7.75% dps (not dpm dependant)
Aftershock 3 with 1 min cd + biting 2/3 = +4.9%/6.15% (assuming ~100k dpm)

This last combo is the current best. If you already have equilibrium 3 though, I wouldn't bother getting aftershock just yet, since it's pretty expensive. I'll personally wait until jagex finishes (if ever) to make changes to these perks, make t90s augmentable, and hopefully make gwd2 gear give more components per piece.

Oh, aftershock also has the nice bonus it's AoE. Could be pretty nice for slayer, for example. Now that I think of it, unlike crackling it seems aftershock doesn't have different damage for pvp, which can make damage stacking pretty op (specially since - unlike equilibrium - it doesn't reduce max hit).

Ty :)

Edit: So unless they remove the Aftershock cooldown when they fix biting, eq will be better :(

Probably wouldn't have removed it for Aftershock if I'd known about the cooldown, but inaccurate/missing info tooltips are standard :(

I haven't really bothered adding perks to items, they keep changing things and adding new perks and will continue doing so for the rest of the year and maybe even longer. Unless you want to go for world record times or plan to do vorago solos it's really pointless burning tens of millions on optimal perks for the time being. Hi

Yea incomplete descriptions and no guarantees of what will be future changes. Two of the reasons I felt demotivated from trying to optimise my full gear before batch 2 (and a while after that - until I'm convinced it won't be a waste).

That plus the fact that perks require rng to get and we can't try different component combinations without wasting them. For example, I'd love to check if I could get something like biting 3 + genocidal/specific slayer perks on the same gizmo (say, with 3/4x noxious + 1/2x bandos components), or maybe some combo with venomblood, planted feet or efficient. But it just feels pointless to risk wasting noxious (which even with cheap staff at level 9 cost like 7m each), crwyr (like 5m+ each at leve 9?) or other expensive components on getting bad perks - which could simply be the result of bad rng.

I'm not even considering rng, I'm talking about guaranteed perks using expensive components like noxious or the gwd2 ones.

And even cheaper components (thinking about armadyl here) cost quite a bit. We don't have one weapon we have like 10. Getting perk x may not be too expensive, getting 10x perk x is another story.

Considering the nature of the game this is just silly. I'm not saying there should be a way to get components back from perks, or an option to swap perks in and out, or anything like that. Just that the current system doesn't feel right.

Well I guess it bumps the prices for certain items up which is nice for the people getting as drops/making them and selling

Not as fun when you spend a lot of money and still not get the perk(s) you want

I've been using arma/zammy warpriest for components lol
help.
