If it's after you escape, click behind her, and when you are about to get into MD, fire an ability, since it's an even number of squares you will cast the ability in MD and stop running.

I don't bother running into MD after killing Umbra, I feel it makes blood phase far too messy and I'd rather just try and deal the extra DPS she will heal.

When you are using a Noxious bow, stand here (or the square ahead of where my character is facing) to kill Umbra, Nex should be stood there if you dragged her around where Fumus is:

Then stand on the exact square I am when doing blood phase, it's an even number of squares so if/when Nex runs towards you, she won't cancel your snipe and/or rapid fire, which helps a lot.

Edit: Forgot to add, if you are stood there, you don't need to escape to avoid blood sacrifice. Unslain Bosses - Clan
