Not paying is taking the risk that some of your trees will die and leave you with a sad feeling knowing you could have prevented it, but chose not to, leaving you devastated by the fatal consequences from your own inconsiderableness and with 14.5k xp less than you expected.
Such a huge blow to the daily farming gains can not be recovered from as there are limited patches and time available!
