Well the thing is if you're looking for forum of in-game competitions :D Imo there are a *bunch* of in-game competitions already hosted by players as events. Here are a few (probably already suggested) successful event ideas:
- Hide and seek
A jmod would log on an inncoent account pretending to be a player. The "player" would hide in a certain part of Runescape.
Jmods would announce who everyone should be looking for and give out hints every 10 minutes for example :D
- Simon Says
Not lots of players actually do this kind of event on Runescape. I was scheduled to host a castle wars event once, but we had to wait 18 minutes to get in the game!
So we lined up outside and started the game. We used quotes like "5imon says", "Simo says" etc. It was pretty funny lol.
Although this event probably couldn't be done as a one-off due to too many people, it could maybe achieve success as an ongoing (weekly). The only problem is that it's usually short and should be teamed up with other activities.
- Chat wars
Yep. Not a typo, it's not clan wars. :)
The concept of the event is that two players "attack" eachother with witty "attacks" like for example: "*summons a giant ice shard from the ground... Makes it grow...* *ice shard opens up and throws pie at you*".
The one with the funnies/witties attack would win :D
I actually tried this event before as an ongoing/weekly one. There would be 1 vs 1 battles, each contestant would get 3 attacks. In the end the crowd would choose the winner! Sadly it didn't really work out... You *could* try it out as a forum competition though :) If you try it out in-game, you try to use voting hats.

Hope these small ideas help ^_^

Being a musician I would like to see a song competition go underway. I'm not sure if this has or hasn't been something that's been discussed. If there are other musically inclined Runescapians out there I'm sure that they would agree that writing a new midi that could potentially be heard in game would be a fun experience. I wouldnt think that it would strictly have to be a midi but any medieval sounding song, perhaps played on a mandolin if one is available or even a keyboard. There are many ways a competition like this could be approached. It's just an idea I'm throwing out there.

how about an month of wars. Where all the clan sign up to go to clan war. Then the 2 clan that wins the most or make it to final, will have last battle, and the winner will get whatever you guys give them for winning the runescape clan war competition. I don't know but it kinda sound good. for f2p and p2p.

I'm certainly not going to read through all of those pages to see if what I'm going to suggest has already been suggested, but here goes nothin'.
Make a musical competition. If a new area is to be released, have players compete to compose a theme for that area...or just in general. It could be fun!
A Quest-writing competition would be nice, too. I believe some of our players are fully capable of writing very good stuff, whether it be completely original, or leaning on another quest arch.
That'd be all, good sirs and madams.
