This giveaway might be fun for people who already use Facebook, but I am not going to sign up for Facebook so I guess I am left out of this giveaway.
I'm not sure if Facebook or Jagex would gain more members from this, but its not something I am interested in. I don't want to have to go to other websites to get information on RuneScape or to be able to talk to Jmods.
I lost all respect for social networking sites when on one I signed up for (Not facebook), close to 100% of the friend requests I got turned out to be spam from fake accounts, and then I deleted my social networking site account and won't sign up to another one.
I'd rather see Jagex spend time on updating the knowledge base and RuneScape website with more information like a beastiary with possible drops and chance of getting them, and things like skill calculators, and stop spending time on external websites, but I guess its down to if it seems to generate new members for RuneScape or not. Hi.

Wow, what a waste of time. The prizes may be cool, but you couldn't pay me to join Stupidbook. And since I'm not an avian, I don't Twitter either. Now that YouTub wants you to create a Google account, I said no to that too. Plus, a lot a people think that linking your RuneScape account to their Facebook account is a BAD idea. Why would we want to do this? Just so we can win some stuff? Sorry, not gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent. :P

hmm.. isn't jagex breaking one of their own rules?... advertising another website?.. or can we advert websites now.. cause it seems like big brother is adverting websites now.. youtube, twitter, and facebook im pretty sure there are others on the very first main page too. thank big brother love you guys for breaking your own rule O_o

Ummm......you (Jagex staff) obviously haven't looked at the Recent Updates forum lately. Might be a really good idea *hint, hint*.
A poll you made in 2009 (for example)had the majority votes that people did not follow RS on social networking sites and did not post about RS on social networking sites. Previous polls have had a similar response. Looking at the RS forums it becomes very clear these player views haven't changed much.
Personally I'd rather you focussed on actual content rather than social events disguised as content. And did something about the worsening bot infestation!
