I don't really use social media that much. I prefer living as a hermit.

I do check the Runescape twitter for the future clues on Sunday, and once in a great while, go to the Jagex Youtube channel to watch a trailer (I like the music in the back ground)

Unless it's offering a practical use or showing us something we cannot find elsewhere- I don't check it out.

That's ok though, if you guys like twitter and facebook you can go right ahead and indulge, it's not hurting anything after all.

I only hope yon April Newsletter comes out soon, waiting for clues of a upcoming art contest somewhere.

"Don't forget that even if membership is applied to your account, you're under no obligation to use any of the membership benefits! If you want to resolutely remain a Free-to-Play player, that's totally cool!"

^Yeah, think of it this way guys: You got members for free, so you're still a free player! ^^

You know what's wrong with polls?

They reflect the desires of the majority.
And you know what?

The majority sucks. :/

Every single option I put my vote towards is never in the majority. It's disheartening feeling like all the things I'd want wouldn't be considered.

This week's poll was really fantastic, Mod Howes :) . I love to see Jagex looking towards even more ways to get involved with their players, and ways to increase communication with the community. Great work, guys!

Personally, I would love to see more videos on the Jagex YouTube Channel and the RuneScape Community YouTube Channel. The upcoming Q&A video has me really excited, and I would love to see more of that kind of thing in the future. Thanks for being so involved with your players :) .

Once again, thank you for your awesome work ^_^ ! Keep it up, guys!

Hi guys. Good thing you're using social networking sites.

Except Twitter - that one's terrible and I don't know what you like so much about it. I think you should focus more on YouTube or even Facebook instead. Twitter is just a garbage zone, the biggest mess online.

As for me I also use two other social sites very often. That's DeviantART (artist site) and last.fm (music site). Actually I even met one of my RuneScape buddies on DeviantART and only later found out he plays it. Later he also drew RuneScape-related pictures that made it for your gallery. :)

Are your RuneScape friends also your friends on social networks?
---

If it is against the rules to ask in-game friends to friend you on facebook or whatever one you use, why the hell did you put question 2?...Double standards I say

Thanks for the feedback on this weeks' poll so far, guys. :-)

Ashoke , I know what you mean about poll results. I usually vote for things that the general consensus isn't in favour of as well. But think of it this way: we're individuals who don't go with the crowd. There's always going to be a crowd whenever you allow people to vote on something, though! It just means we can see we're more unique in our views when we vote against the flow. :-)

Luftey : I can't tell if you're just trolling or not, but I would have thought it's pretty obvious we're not saying you had to have mentioned your social networking details in-game to become friends. It may be that you already knew each other in real life or on the social network first before becoming friends in RuneScape. Whatever the case, I'm sure players are adult enough to follow the rules and stay safe in-game. ;-)

ok, so not particularly related to the poll, but I thought that a brilliant new market that Jagex could diversify to is a real-time grand exchange app for the iPhone. Was looking at [URL removed - Mod Howes], and thought that a similar system would be incredibly useful for people who can't always be on rs when they want to. Although I'll grant you that people could just go onto the internet and check the grand exchange here, it would be much easier to simply access the GE at the touch of a button. Plus, (I don't know anything about the specifics surrounding this), I think it would also have the enticing bonus of not using up browsing data if people's mobile plans have that.
