My opinion on current poll.

NEW WEAPONS are in a sense already available due to dungeons as a reward. Sure they are not the actual weapons we are using in dungeonering none the less they are new weapons made available to the already large weapon choice across runescape.

I feel that the options to vote for will not prove be a true reflection of peoples desires, as most are not even educated enough to even know what the gatestone is.

Whenever I group with new players more often then not I educate them on gatestones. So people are not going to vote for something that they do not even understand.

Provide explanations beside the options to explain what they are? Through the gatestone option into the world of runescape for a 2 week period to get the word out. So people can make an informed choice!!!

Well thats all I have to say for now.

So I just finished the new poll, and I was in shock that so many people ignored the GATESTONE and chose to vote for another weapon and armor..

Do you know how many times I have been in game and heard someone say "I wish there was a quicker way to do banking" ? I have heard this many times..

IF we are given a vote and a new item would be brought into game such as gatestone, why would you rather more weapons and armor instead? Could you imagine how helpful a gatestone would be?

Listen, if you were mining somewhere that is difficult to reach and wanted to go back to that location after banking, how amazing would it be to drop a gatestone at the mining location, tele to bank, then TELEPORT BACK to that gatestone location!?!

Seeing as we have so many weapons and armor types already, and I have seen numerous suggestion threads for faster ways to move around RS, perhaps you really arent thinking about your decision when you vote?

I REALLY hope people are aware of what they are voting for, but honestly, I dont think all the votes for new armor/weapon were made by people that know the true benefit to having a Gatestone in game.

Or maybe people just dont realize what a gatestone does. I have been in Dungeoneering and noticed many times that players just dont know how to use a Gatestone.

A Gatestone would probably be one of the best updates to have in game and outside of the Dungeoneering game/skill.

Anyways, just some thoughts about the new poll. What do you think?

It's strange people even want the Gluttonous Behemoth (seeing as almost half of the voters soloes).

He piles 1 person (3 attack styles, so difficult to pray) and once he's dead, he can heal to full health.
The Icefiend is easy as his special can't kill you, just get hurt to near-dead, and heal once his special is over.

As for the gatestone discussion, I didn't really use them because I'm forced to do small dungeons (like 45% of the voters). I tried them, but they didn't came into my mind, when I voted. Besides the Daemonheim equipment is good compared to the Gielinor versions.

The only decent question was the last one, and I put 'undecided' because I didn't even notice that the hitsplats were different in there? Unless they're talking about the healing ones, in which case I'd support them.

Most of the other questions weren't great - we had 3 options for how we go through a dungeon, 1) rush past monsters for keys 2) kill monsters and loot later 3) hide by smuggler

I kill monsters and loot there and then, I have no idea why you'd do the whole dungeon again just to go looting... About half the questions I gave the 'don't know' or equivalent option because out of all the different playing styles, having a poll offering 2 or 3 isn't really gonna represent everyone :|

I am sort of anti-dungeoneering (free xp plz) and couldn't fully do the poll (completely uninterested in the bosses).
What I do find highly interesting is that the majority of voters chose the Solo option. I know it doesn't represent the overall RS community, but it is interesting nontheless!

The "skill" should be more solo friendly.

I was surprised that people favored armour over the gatestone.

I was surprised that people favored the purple heal splats.

I'm not surprise that people train skills solo; that's how skills work.

I'm not surprised that many people are not informed about the bosses.

I wholly believe the future of the game would be better off if dungeoneering were made consistent with the rest of the game. Make it a minigame so that solo based playing isn't an issue. Keep the heal splats in the minigame because otherwise it will throw off Pvp tactics. The gatestone would be way too convenient and would throw off balancing for every single aspect of the game.

I have submitted the questions in the following post to the suggestion email.

The purpose of these questions is to find how the voting community feels about the controversial areas of the dungeoneering update. I want these questions to be asked outright and clearly. At the same time, they do not need to be binding on JaGEx. I just think a lot of people want to know how the community feels about the new "skill" through a JaGEx sponsored poll. Because these questions haven't popped up, some people think JaGEx is purposely avoiding them because JaGEx fears the results. Thank you for the consideration.
