I voted a 3. And given the fact that I love doing riddles, that's not really great. If not for the fact that the rewards look great(which is not why I had planned to do this), it would've been a 2.
There was just too much wrong with this year's event.
First of all, flaws over and over again. There weren't that many who affected me - I'm P2P, and I usually don't manage to get online at the time the riddles are revealed. Yet, given that there is no need for a certain date for this to be released, it's unbelievable for me how so many things could go wrong.
The counting was just so wrong it was crazy, half of the hints were misleading, some were simply wrong, even to this date one of the hints is still ambigious/wrong.
For the next time, step it up a bit in the priority so you get at least some testing...
Also the puzzles were a LOT to easy for anyone who has some idea about how to logically approach puzlles. I voted "mostly easy" or whatever it was called instead of piece of cake, only because some of the NPCs took a little while too figure out, and the magic square also took a little bit.
That was 99% only time consumption though, nothing challenging for the brain.
I do not understand why someone who needs help even with the first clue already would do this event apart from the award, and for that they can just look up a spoiler.
So next time - do riddles that are RIDDLES and not something so easy that nobody is oh so offended because he's simply too [*bad word for not so intelligent*].
Logic based and math-based(more into the direction of sudoko, not simple equations) are the best I think, but I'm open to everything else, may even some counting be included - as long as it's challenging in more ways than simply time needed.
