I've played RS for several years and I've got many hours logged in.

The three things that have kept me here are:
-Updates
-New Quests/Storyline
-Best Friends

I saw someone post something similar to this, but, I've not been playing nearly as much because, after playing one game for several years, it looses it's interest and a vast majority of my friends have quit or dramatically decreased their play-time.

If it wasn't for my best RS friend that I met back several years ago in the Falador mining area, that I still play RS with, I would have quit years ago.

:P

The thing about this game is even after you stop for a week or even months, you feel like you should log back on and the game clings to you. It's really addictive. The things taht kept me going were the:
# 1. Sense of Achievement.
# 2. Talking with my friends and people in clan.
# 3. Skill building.

As for my charactor. Well...I don't think he really does look like me.

Yeah lol. It's hard to say "no" sometimes... Ughh...

"How involved do you feel you are during your time in RuneScape?"
Haha, this was good question. I bet most of the players still enjoy non-AFK activities afterall *wink wink devs ;) *

"What do you think keeps you coming back to RuneScape"
^ You forgot question mark! ^

I find it quite interesting that most of the people keep coming back to Runescape because they've invested long time to it already. That's not to say they don't like RS, but I would think there are better reasons to come back..
Such as fun activities, friends and skilling. Friends and communities were surprisingly low rated on that question.
I'm a big fan of 'hardcore' skilling too, but I'd never play single-player gamme like this! :D

"How long have you been playing?"
6+ years.

I've enjoyed RS for about four years, and I really do like the variety, updates and storylines, but it is a few dear freinds that I have made that really keeps me here. Also, while I don;t know all that much, I seem to be able to help some players out with advice from time to time, and that feels good.

This game evolves very well and I love that there is always something new and various challenges I have yet to master (if I ever will). Keep up the great work.
