I actually like the poll. Personally I always strive to become a better person so that kind of reflects my votes as well
There are a few exceptions though
Question 2 -
You find yourself competing with a fellow adventurer for a resource. Do you:
If I'm faster(most of the time is the case) there is always the option to reason with me. Personally I won't come with the idea since it don't bothers me however if the other one asks it nicely. Well why shouldn't I let them have something?
Besides that I hate it if people are lazy when wanting something for me. You can at least write something fully. I just can't stand when they expect something for me(which I'm not required to do) they ask it with "plz" instead of "please"! I mean, if you want something you shouldn't be to lazy with asking it. How hard is it to write "please"?
But that is just my weirdness. I know its about nothing. In history I used to help them a lot however in the end 90% of them appeared to be a bit to selfish(in my opinion) and leave without a proper thank you.
Question 4 -
Two players are having a dispute. Do you:
I just hate conflicts so when I'm able to I will always try to help, that isn't always possible though so when I can't do anything I will just watch silently instead of saying the wrong things :p
Question 5 -
Your group is finally at the deepest levels of Daemonheim. Your group is running low on food. Do you:
Most of the time I will share it with everyone that tries. I don't care about the results, however if someone sits back and doesn't even try to help, Well I won't share it with them. However if someone just wants to help but isn't able to than its a whole different story

Thanks again for all of your feedback. Congratulations to
QPrime
and
X Ohn03s X
- you were both smart enough to see some of the deeper meaning this poll held. Always good to see there are some perceptive folks out there - well done! ;-)
Regarding the complaints that the answers just didn't exactly suit them or their understanding of the community - I'm afraid you've misunderstood the purpose of the poll somewhat (as I pointed out in an earlier reply).
This poll is
deliberately
limited to three very clear, very simplistic view points. We also make it clear that it's just supposed to be a bit of fun this week. I'm not able to explain more at the moment, but it should make more sense in a few weeks' time as a fun new initiative comes to light. And don't worry - this poll is absolutely NOT about changing anything in-game, it's just a fun thing that will get you thinking about three viewpoints. I really can't say more than that, though. ;-)
Right, I hope that clears up some of the confusion. Fear not - there will still be plenty of polls about content in the future, but, as I said in my last reply, putting every design decision on trial via a public vote is not a constructive blanket policy - as those who know about the intricacies of game design will no doubt attest!
Have fun guys and I look forward to yet more constructive participation from you all soon!
I'm wondering why you didn't offer going to the forums on the question about being stuck on a quest.
Don't you believe in the importance of RuneScape Official Forums?
I often use the Quest Forums before I start pestering errr asking my friends.
“You're off to Great Places! Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting, So... get on your way!”

I really hope this poll will have the result that more players will help each other in the end. I notice some people take everything for "granted". Even though that is quite common between the young generation of now
Personally I'm glad that jagex try's to shows the opposite. That people just should to -try- to help each other. Its commonly known that the human nature is extremely selfish(People don't do anything that doesn't satisfy themselves.). A good example is that some players want to be the best whatever the costs are. Other people gain satisfication for being usefull and helpfull. Again other are just scared to stay behind and try to be most careful and are satisfied if they don't do anything that will hurt them in the end.
If you think a bit this is also what the poll represents. Of course people share the same way's to satisfy themselves some people would feel horrible if it goes against thier personality which means the disastify is greater than the satisfication. This is mostly the reason why most people to steal, hack and scam.
Even though that sacrifices are sometimes made for the "greater good" opinions my differ.
Personally I satisfy my needs by helping others and the only thing I expect is a small thank you. I know it costs a bit of time. Sometimes I don't get it and I hope they wish to share the same satisfication they got by sometimes helping someone else
Most of the time the way of "satisfy" people shows thier personality and the difference between selflessness and selfishness. Even though people can satisfy themselves by being selfless so they are actually selfish
But hey, I'm getting a bit to philosophical :p
The main issue of RuneScape is that the orginal content is designed for "solo" play combining with chatting. Most of the time you even get punished by playing with each other. Luckely dungeoneering makes a difference however the prestage system again goes sometimes the other way around
this mostly includes the lower levels though(most people are stuck around there). Which will result in less change people that have to do the higher levels help them.
On the other side the prestige system also encourages people to go back to the lower level dungeons. So it will still -sometimes- inspire others.
Even though the content of RuneScape mostly doesn't encourage to help each other I think the Community Management try to encourage it. A good example is this poll
Even though it isn't always as appreciated(I'm for example against the forum update). The idea behind it is what actually counts.
The sad thing of the last times is that a large amount of people want to cost-what-cost a level 99 and be recognized as a high level. Personally I'm against the idea. Even though a 99 is a sign of stamina and work people will see it is the end as something "common". A good example here is the cooking cape. The sad thing about it isn't the loss of the achievement itself but the idea that it works different than expected. I mean, why do you want to be "recognized" as someone with higher skills if you lose the idea of playing a game. A game is in the end for fun
The average person has lost the spirit though.
That is why I just -hate- to see someone lower than me because of thier level. I know I'm commonly recognized as a "higher-level". Something I learned over the ages is that it doesn't matter in the end. The only thing that matters is that you are better to help your friends or just someone who asks something.
I just -hope- that people will learn to be kind with each others and learn to satisfy themselves with only that. I think the world would be a better place if that happens
