Mod Howes
Did you write this poll? It doesn't make sense to me... Actually bothering to respond to players on a thread is not the norm and is pretty impressive (which is actually unimpressive by itself :p) and addressing other issues such as the weapon thing is what I like to see in a J-Mod, other than the typical working around the questions on on-topic questions and ignoring off-topic ones.
However, I have to say that after reading all of your replies, I still can't see how this was at all worth it. The polls are an invaluable way of gathering statistical data about your players and although not all players vote, it doesn't seem like this importance has been recognised since voting is hardly encouraged at all (although, I must admit, you have started advertising them on the Twitter accounts).
I simply could not answer the poll questions because the 3 cases were so extreme and seemed to be written by somebody who has an idea what the game is about, but has never played it properly. I don't have a problem with mods who don't play the game, since that's their choice, but I think things that end up being released to the public should be checked by a Mod who plays first. The 3 choices were:
1) Arrogant and stuck-up
2) Foolish
3) Arrogant and stuck-up
I really wouldn't like to be a part of either of those 3 categories. Anybody who thinks they deserve pixelated rocks over other people are being ridiculous, although not quite as much as those who would take someone to the Duel Arena/PvP over such a thing. Of course, both of these never happen in the game, and I'm sure even option 2) only occurs rarely (although that is still more than the other 2 options, hence why it got the most votes).
If I was competing with somebody for a resource, I would world-hop and find an empty world. If it was a really busy time, I'd train a different skill or use a different method. I wouldn't limit my own XP gain, and somebody else's, for no reason at all...
