"Ridiculous, obviously useless poll. Not even good enough to be called a push poll."

Nope, it actually serves a purpose for us.

I think I can guess how you voted. :P

this poll was kinda short on answers; always the "look at me", samaritan and 'fight fight fight' answers, none i could really relate to.

on most questions i would want an intermediate, like the sharing resources one; i would ask them to leave, not since i'm greater, but becouse i was there first...

I'm not too sure what you mean by the "teamwork option", but this latest poll on personality types is only meant to be hugely general for a bit of fun. The balanced approach option in each question response is usually the one to advocate equality, teamwork and compromise. And we've been seeing great participation numbers of late, so we must be doing something right!

Mod Howes. (page 11, post 9, regarding post 8)

Mod Howes, i meant the "TeamWork" section of the Forums, which should actually have been the "Quest" section of the forums, my mistake ;) for those team-quests we have some awesome sticky threads there, which would've been another great way to get a partner for one of those quests :P

i know that this poll is just for fun, was teasing you a little. sorry for the miss-understanding ;)

ps. i never said: "teamwork option", i said, "TeamWork section" ;)

You're on a Quest and you realise you need some assistance to help you complete it. Do you:

- Forcibly volunteer someone. The day you asked them for help will be the greatest day of their life!

- Ask around your Friends List for some help. After all, you've always tried to help them.

- Hunt down a victim, get the help you need and then PK them on the way home. Bwahaha!

and.. :P

i would've voted:

Forcibly volunteer a victim from my friend list. I've always tried to help him/her, and the day i ask him/her for help will be the greatest day of their life! *Evil smile* Bwahaha!

but that wasn't on the list, so i went with number 2 ;)

Hehe, thanks to all of you who have enjoyed the poll so far.

It's definitely supposed to have a comedy feel to it, so don't take it too seriously. But it is meant to be for something, I just can't reveal what yet. ;-) Anyway, onto some more specific answers!

Sacornus :
Yes, I was surprised we had so many players responding with the more balanced answer choice too! It's nice to know, though. And to be fair, when I've been playing on my home account, I've found most players to be very fair and accommodating, so it shouldn't surprise me really. :-)

As for Mod Crow and the suggestions, I asked him to pass on your prodding to the J-Mod now responsible for the suggestions process. :-)

Sir Dalacan :
Please don't misunderstand me - I totally get what you're saying and do appreciate your feedback and it will always be welcome here! I was just trying to get at the point that telling us a poll is "useless" is a subjective thing.

Giving us ideas for future polls is really helpful and we'll definitely take your ideas on board - and we're making every effort to post regularly, as you'll hopefully see. :-)

Mr Alma :
Thanks for the feedback - I think you and I might have quite similar play styles. It's ok to be a lone wolf, just make sure you come in from the cold and enjoy the company of others once in a while. After all, "no man is an island".

Frozen Cause :
I believe Mod Emilee has actually explained to you before that the position a weapon is held in is down to the fact that weapons need to rest within a predefined game engine square and to have a weapon held lower down would cause significant clipping issues.

It's worth noting that the remit of the polls feature is not simply to put content on trial and put every design decision up to a public vote. Creating a balanced game and one with a unique visual style sometimes requires our professional designers to make design decisions which they themselves know to be the right thing, even if not always the most popular.

We do value feedback, but just remember not every single thing in the game can be scrutinised and put up for a vote - nor would it be desirable or constructive to do so. ;-)

Zaflart Orts :
As Mod Emilee says, it does actually have a purpose, but a hidden one. So you could be forgiven for making an inaccurate assumption like that, I guess. Do let us know if you have some constructive suggestions, though, as I feel that feedback you gave was just a rant and not really very helpful at all. :-(

Right guys, I've got moar pollz to work on, so I'll catch you all soon!

wrt: It Takes All Sorts (04-May-2010)

For at least 2 of the question, none of the answers applied to me. Could you add a "None of the Above" type answer to each of the questions, please?

For example, on the question about completing for resources, I just work harder (eg click faster) to ensure I get all the resource. Eventually the other player will give up and go away. (And if the other player consistently get the resource, I go away. There's always another rock, tree or blue dragon somewhere else!)
