@ Radio53kip - The thread was closed because there was no longer an actual guide on the thread. It was just an advertisement for the Google doc. The Forums should facilitate discussions here rather than being used to drive traffic to other sites. While links are now allowed on the forums, they should be to support the discussion on the thread, rather than just advertise the other site.

There is also the consideration that many are hesitant to follow links to outside sites, as that can often present a security risk. It is much better if the guide is actually on the forum thread or added to the wiki, so everyone can access the guide, not just those willing to take the risk of an outside link.

The decision to lock the thread was a group decision. The thread will not be unlocked.

Regarding a suitable solution - What about creating a basic condensed guide, along the lines of those often seen on threads to gear up for particular bosses like:

Melee:
Head Option 1 > Option 2> Option 3
Cape Option 1 > Option 2> Option 3 etc..

Range:
Head Option 1 > Option 2> Option 3
Cape Option 1 > Option 2> Option 3 etc..

Those would not take up more than a few posts and should be fairly easy to maintain, and provide useful information on the thread itself, and possibly spur some discussion. Then you could include a link to your google doc should someone wish to to see further details.
