A good step towards bringing the community together would be to persuade other members of Jagex Staff to post on the game's official forums more often, instead of just sending info out to random social media sites.
Just something to think about
This! It's too hard with so many external platforms to keep up with what's going on these days. Centralise communications here, make sure anything that's revealed off-site is also posted on your own forums and we're good! I know folks have drifted away from the forums, but that's mainly because they feel they're not heard here, and the only way to be heard is to Twitter/Reddit or whatever. Its a chicken/egg situation though, and it needs you guys to break the cycle and bring us back to a centralised and Jagex controlled communication platform again.
+2
I strongly agree that the RS forums should be the first place any news is posted. I don't see a problem with using multiple platforms, but having Jagex staff engage the RS forum community more and encouraging players in-game to use the Runescape official forums will help with the activity.
Warm welcome to community management role Hooli, and as the lead you are inheriting a great team. (Kari, and Poerkie are both incredible)
First of all it would be nice to see more Jagex Moderators in game, getting involved with the community, It's been too long since I've seen a Jagex Moderator. Presence of a Mod makes the players feel more engaged.
As Community Manager , you should be bringing us more communication which has been really stale lately. Example the penguin pet nobody told us about it.
We need to see more forum activity from Jagex Moderators too.
Make the RuneScape forums important again, just like Reddit.

Looking forward to seeing you grow and prosper in your role!
I have to agree with most of the other players comments here about modernizing the way we communicate and collaborate. There are so many platforms like reddit, discord, etc., and it would be nice to see the official Runescape website/forum be the focal point again.
Also, it's always a nice experience to see more J-Mods and P-Mods in-game as it reinforces the games moral and shows the general player base that there are reputable and helpful members engaging with the community. Who doesn't get a little excited seeing those crowns in-game?

Much love
Scouse - Fashionably late
Still here to receive them? lol based on their profile we've no way of knowing whether they are still employed at jagex or not. Leading by example I guess.
