@J Seinfeld, while I can understand your point, as you are probably only looking for more answers, I can assure you that there is a lot more behind the scene that is regrouped under what CM Nick said. Also, the fact that we do not have JMods accounts yet does limit us from our full potential for the community which will be happening soon.
However, in the meantime, it would be better to not bite the hand that is actually trying to be helpful to you. Every day that either me or CM Nick are on duty around the forums, we make note of all the important threads, questions (new or still unanswered), any special moderation needs and assist the Forum Moderators. All this while working directly with the rest of the team at Jagex and get those looked at and answered to.
It is actually a very important position as it allows for a quicker information turnaround and I think it actually makes the community feel a bit more heard by being present on the forums, even if it is to just let you know that we are sharing your thread or post. I do not believe that the community would prefer to see us being silent because of a lack of information to share at that time, and that would not be something we would want to do either.
We have been actively involved with hunting down phishing websites and social media pages. I believe that we have gotten a quicker response on many threads that required a JMod presence. We helped to pass on critical bugs and issues to the rest of the team as well as important feedback on future and current content to help carry the community's voice.
I am sorry that we might not have made you feel the difference yet but I am quite certain that you will also get to benefit from our presence one way or another on these forums.
