No offence to you two but I thought CM was a very responsible and important role within Jagex since it helps Jagex keep in touch with their players what shall guarentee that Jagex' doesn't make mistakes that lead to a shrinking player base. So why does Jagex borrow employees? They could have hired you two as normal team members as well which would be, in my eyes, better. :)

And hopefully the golden crown is coming soon :) .

Hey Liebster!

To touch on what you've said... both CM Neriphyra and I come from backgrounds of community management in a variety of settings, and both happen to be RuneScape lovers, and were hired on by Jagex through Keywords to help out here on the RSOF in the capacity of JMods.

As Mod Cam has mentioned in this thread, Jagex sees us as an extension of the team, and our whole reason for being here is to help players and forumers feel listened to, respected, and a part of the community. Our aim is to help facilitate more communication between Jagex and everyone here, and to improve the forum experience for everyone, so we're always open to suggestions, ideas, comments, criticisms, anything you want to bring up to us!

How many posts have you made saying "I will pass this to Jagex and get back to you"? And how many of those posts have you actually followed up with "Hey listen this is what they said"?

You've been here a quarter of a year now, and what differences have you brough us? Well, you've filled the void of us hearing nothing from Jagex with your rapidly-becoming-infamous "I will pass this to Jagex and get back to you" comments, which, frankly, is like pissing down our backs and telling us that it's raining.

I fail to see the significance of your roles. You're little more than a pair of Forum Mods. I'm sorry but you guys aren't doing anything that Jagex themselves couldn't do directly, if they were so bothered in the first place.

@J Seinfeld, while I can understand your point, as you are probably only looking for more answers, I can assure you that there is a lot more behind the scene that is regrouped under what CM Nick said. Also, the fact that we do not have JMods accounts yet does limit us from our full potential for the community which will be happening soon.

However, in the meantime, it would be better to not bite the hand that is actually trying to be helpful to you. Every day that either me or CM Nick are on duty around the forums, we make note of all the important threads, questions (new or still unanswered), any special moderation needs and assist the Forum Moderators. All this while working directly with the rest of the team at Jagex and get those looked at and answered to.

It is actually a very important position as it allows for a quicker information turnaround and I think it actually makes the community feel a bit more heard by being present on the forums, even if it is to just let you know that we are sharing your thread or post. I do not believe that the community would prefer to see us being silent because of a lack of information to share at that time, and that would not be something we would want to do either.

We have been actively involved with hunting down phishing websites and social media pages. I believe that we have gotten a quicker response on many threads that required a JMod presence. We helped to pass on critical bugs and issues to the rest of the team as well as important feedback on future and current content to help carry the community's voice.

I am sorry that we might not have made you feel the difference yet but I am quite certain that you will also get to benefit from our presence one way or another on these forums.
