You can make sure your account and pc are safe by setting up one good virusscanner and to run a scan with Malwarebytes every now and then. Make sure to set a new password + 2-step verification on your registered email and set a bank pin + Authenticator on your Runescape account. There's quite a lot of info here:

There is nothing that can be done about the items you lost I'm afraid. Jagex does not return, refund or otherwise compensate for items lost in hijacks or scams. You can use the report option here though to make sure the hijacker is traced:

Well.. I hadn't played for years and decided to fire up OSRS and get into that and had played maybe a month. After being gone so long I guess I was just feeble minded and no longer careful with my account security. They cleaned me on OSRS which wasn't a big deal (10M).

After another day I realized they probably got my RS3 which although I won't touch again still had the nostalgic feel to go and look back on. Goodbye 200m cash stack and blue h'ween. You will be missed.

I stupidly fell for this, no clue how. I have changed my bank pin in game and changed my password, just want it to be known should they somehow get control of my account. xD

I have been reporting these scammers everytime I see them on Twitch, hopefully that will help.

I have seen things like this but with fake things like "boaty quitting streaming" and then having a fake forum link. Just putting this out there so you now that is phishing too.

I'm a returning player (maybe not anymore) that got hacked by this. Please be careful! The scam will even prompt you with a bank pin (I feel stupid) but left my guard down because I was focused on fun, not a threat.
Any other suggestions/things to look out for?
