I dont mind bots because they dont hurt me.
I dont mind PKers because if I were to meet one, I would be one.

If you would really think about it in a less "me, me, me-oriented" way you'd realize that bots are slowly killing the game in several different ways....

I voted NO, i just knew this would happen even though I knew the Yes votes would win. I warned my friends that voted the other way & now they grumble about the bots.
I have seen this happen before as my account is rather old & I suppose all I can do is wait it out or retire my account.
I would like to hear from a J-Mod to see what the general concensus is on the game, should the free trade stay or go, would it help the game or not? Even if they are'nt going to take it away, just to hear some kind of reply.

I too voted no. The sham vote went on anyway. I do miss runescape its been 6 months and runescape is pretty much dead. Jagex should consider a new name. Gamblescape Botscape and Scamscape. Jagex wonders why it cant get new members. Walk around f2p and it becomes obvious. Think about the gambling the bots and the scammers and how that must apear to new players. Mr. Simax

Not to say voting "yes" was the right choice, but in their defense, I believe many who voted that way believed Jagex when the company said they could control bots if free trade was allowed. Now that we've found out otherwise, perhaps they should hold another referendum, or just fix the botting problem.

Free trade is still welcome.
All Jagex must do is add a verification for banking and update it regularly. Then the bots could not access their banks and adverts and resource bots would have a tougher time making money. Something like CAPTCHA. Other sites do it all the time, why not make a simple one almost like a mini game? Done.
