No matter what happens initially, there will be a transition period for this update. Once everyone gets used to it the game will just go on and everyone will accept it and forget about it. Just like when they imposed trade limits and removed the old wilderness. The poll is won, now it's just a matter of when these things are reinstated.

Hey i kinda agree the wilderness shouldn't come back unless on certain worlds. and the free trade will make the game hectic and a lot more unstable, but i am voting yes because many people want this and i always try to help the people that want more than the people who disagree. Its a good thing to help in anyway u can and its great to see so many happy faces. To the people who have considered to vote no and who have voted no i respect all of Ur guys opinion
Good luck all on the votes,
oh and for the mods u guys will have a mess of questions on ur forums to deal with on these votes.
Good luck to you too :)

"^^sometimes i wonder how any1 can be as stupid 2 think that what they think every1 else must think
lots of people who have experienced free trade and old wildy didnt like it
stop repeating that tired old argument in the hope that itll come true
and how are we "communists". If we r communists then u r all barbarians, since thats basically what u want, strong going around killing weak with nothing stopping them...(ran out of characters here, see full, ignorant post on page 137)

Oh, ignorance. First all, kid, when did I say everyone had to have the same opinion as me? All I can hope is that the rest of your ill thought out response contains no more lies or misconceptions.
Lots of people tried the old wilderness and not liked it? That's a cool word, "lots", isn't it? It's so vague and indeterminate that anyone can throw it in their argument withou any evidence to prove their point. "stop repeating that tired old argument" - I'll never shut up as long as badkids like you are around.
"how are we "communists". If we r communists then u r all barbarians...going around killing weak with nothing stopping them" LMAO, you just proved my point, kid. Just a basic lesson in politics here, but: restricting free speech, free trade, and the popular will of the players = Communism. A third grader could come to that conclusion. Of course Jagex isn't ACTUALLY communist, you feckless moron.
"...but i like a game where it actually has rules... a bit more realistic".
I see, want you want is a game based off of real life. I have a name for a game like that: real life. If you enjoy monotony and rules, then log off please.
So if you wish to avoid the manipulation of supply and demand, are you therefore opposed to "GE Clans"? These "clans" are the very definition of the manipulation of supply and demand, something that hardly exists in this game's current economy. You seek to impose laws on what you call "laws of supply and demand". GG self-admitted communist kid

READ, criticizers! ---> I'm ecstatic that 91% of people actually agree that free trade and old wilderness should be restored. My view of the Runescape community has been extremely pessimistic in the last few years. Immature and uninformed, certain players seek to hump the proverbial leg of Jagex in order to receive some sort of artificial compensation in the form of a "forum mod" position. Power hungry little tikes hide their uninformed decisions among irrelevant insults as they climb the ranks of their GE clan chats, all the while hypocritically manipulating the game's economy. Fortunately(?) for these players, there is NO risk, no challenge, and no reward involved in their exploits. These players can't die without being able to recover their goods and can't be harmed in any form by another player without the whole nine yards of excessive warning and babying. I'm in awe that players are actually defending their nook in a communist regime.
I always find it funny how people who never even played the game back in the early to mid 2000's are so certain of their conviction that restricting free speech and trade are actually good things for the community as a whole. I would love to see how far your policies get you in real life. Communism is generally NOT appreciated by anyone but the dictators who control their population. As I've said, a third grader could draw similarities between this game and a communist regime. Let's count them up: free speech is restricted (chat filter and extremely harsh ban and mute decisions), free trade is restricted, general will of population (91% desire free trade and old wilderness) has been restricted for several years.
I think those three, greatly important factors are enough for an uncanny comparison to communism.
-----A little "disclaimer" for the common-sense impaired and/or "yougins": I don't seriously believe that Jagex is communist, just that their developmental decisions are hilariously similar to communism. ---------

I notice that the assist system will remain in place. I would like to know:
Will there be a review or increase in assist xp with the likely return of free trade?
In the past free trade allowed law and nature companies, as an example, to operate more effectively. Now effigies have been included in the game which also require the assist system. If free trade is to come back, would not an increase in assist xp also be useful to players.

Please answer -
You know how when you remove an item, the red flashing light comes and starts blinking?
Will that still be there after the trade/wildy referendum update?
Or will be it removed, just like the old old days.
Please answer.
Thanks,
