Guys, I've been playing Runescape for about 6 years now. I've seen the good and I've seen the bad. I'm all for the referendum. There's something a lot of you guys don't understand, that Jagex is clearly trying to state. Please, read this carefully.
EVEN WITH THE GAME IN THE STATE IT IS NOW, IT HAS NOT STOPPED USE OF BOTS, IT HAS NOT STOPPED GOLD FARMING, IT HAS NOT STOPPED GOLD SELLING. ALL OF THESE THINGS STILL EXIST STRONG AS EVER, THEY'VE JUST FIGURED OUT HOW TO GET AROUND THESE UPDATES.
So in other words, if the problem is still there with these "safety updates" then why have them if it's making our gaming experience less enjoyable? Of course i do believe there was some positive that came out of the updates made on Dec. 11, 2007.
People were no longer easily scammed.
That's it, in my opinion. There are other things people could find "positive". It made in game activities easier, such as treasure trails. Sorry but a little challenge and suspense won't kill you people. Even if Jagex brings it all back, people won't get scammed easily. I'm sure the "red exclamation mark" will remain, and the wilderness ditch will remain.
My main point is that, by bringing the wild and free trade back, they are not also welcoming macros and gold farming back. IT'S ALWAYS BEEN AROUND, AND IT ALWAYS WILL BE AROUND. All Jagex can do is fight it, as hard as they can.
