@Slayer, im not sure I agree with everything you said. Mostly the part that says " if you call it supply and demand then your not old enough to play" uhhh i thought the age was 13, not 19 :D . And I think it will go both way, it will just depend on what items. Oh and ban people who are merchants??? Goodbye to the top 1/3 of runescape players... merchanting is still a huge part of this game, and they will never ban the players for it.

But I don't believe that Jagex are any better at bot seeking than they were in the great bot-wars of 2007, when almost the whole P-Mod Team, along with their J-Mod curators were mobilised to fight them in-game.

Yes, and so do I.
But jagex knew that this would happen days before they even released that poll, trust me.
Why go trough all that effort if you can make it fast and simple.
They can't just bring it all back from one day to another like a simple update.
They want to expand, and they are.
There has been a rise of players online ever since the day jagex announced that the wilderness ''might'' be coming back.
This day was coming sooner or later.
It's all planned out.

They GE is flaw with a time variant, even as you sit here and say it would "destroy" supply and demand you fail to realize either way "merchanting" is still happening. The only thing the Grand Exchange does is slow the increase and decrease of prices. In effect if you want something bad enough you're willing to pay tons for it, and if a seller has enough competition he will drive his prices down. Those pretty much form the basis for "supply and demand" in a free market, and quite frankly it's common sense.

I would love to see this referendum happen. I don't know if it will bring back a lot of the long time old school members that played this since the RSC/RS2 days but it'll bring back enough of them with this update.
However I still would like to see the GE gone though, ever since it has been around I feel like the game was somewhat ruined by how easy it is to make ridiculous amount of money and to acquire everything.

maybe jagex are super smart at finding bots
maybe all the people that voted over once under diffrent accounts on this have had there accounts logged and there scanning them now to see if any have botted
oh my the'd find loads if they did that :-P
